Andrew + Tiffany | Historic Ybor District | Tampa, FL

I’m really excited about this post because it feels like it’s been FOREVER since I last posted a wedding blog. Well buckle up, because I’ll have many wedding posts to come in the next few months!! First up, The Virts Wedding! Lets rewind back to July when the three of us woke up at the crack of dawn to do a sunrise engagement session. It honestly feels like forever ago and I was bubbling with much excitement when we were getting closer to April 1st. Let me tell you, this wedding was no joke (ha, get it because it was on April Fool’s Day?) It was day of being surrounded by the ones you love to marry the one you love, what kind of day is better than that?

The day started in a LEGIT VRBO house that Tiffany and her bridesmaids booked to stay / get ready in. You know that part in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire when they go to the Quidditch tournament and Mr. Weasley puts an enchantment on their tiny tent? And when they went inside Harry’s muggle-raised mind was blown because it was like a giant tent-house inside? Yeah that’s what this VRBO was like. On the outside it looks like a tiny loft that sits on top of a law practice, but then you go inside and you’re like WHOA. Needless to say, it was awesome and had a cool wrought iron balcony (which made for some of my favorite photos). Tiffany looked flawless in her simple Stella York gown. I loved the beaded straps! The dress was so Tiffany and she straight rocked it. Tera Skipper of Salon Settore also did a great job with Tiffany’s hair and make up. The bridesmaids looked beautiful in their shirt / maxi skirt combo. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen bridesmaids wear a skirt / shirt combo, but I really liked it! Especially for the Virts wedding. It totally fit the vibe of the day and the florals popped wonderfully against their outfits. Speaking of florals, how AMAZING are these arrangements?! Heather Taylor of Taylormade Floral & Event Decor does amazing work. She and I go to the same church and we always have talked about how much fun it would be to work together on a wedding. The Virts Wedding brought us together and I’m so glad. Heather not only had the responsibility of arranging gorgeous bouquets, but also was the day-of-coordinator! I was so glad we got to tag team together at last. Lastly, we can’t forget about Andrew. He was looking sharp in his Navy Kenneth Cole suit. I loved the bow ties he and his groomsmen wore! They too went perfectly with the red in the bouquets.

Historic Ybor City in Tampa, FL made for the perfect backdrop for the day. Ybor City has so many fun things to offer when it comes to finding a place to take photos. It’s charming, historic brick buildings with arches, and other antique embellishments had me oohing and ahhing all weekend long. Andrew and Tiffany tied the knot at The Underground Network. This place has urban feel and is like a Catapult for churches, which I thought was pretty cool. My dear friend Bryan Brown officiated their wedding and did a fantastic job. Afterwards the reception was held at the CL Space, another cool loft with exposed brick walls and an industrial feel. Everyone enjoyed delicious cajun food like pimento corn muffins, grit cakes and BBQ sausage bites catered by Simply Southern Catering. Once they had their savory bite, there was a plethora of options for sweets! Everyone enjoyed mini cupcakes, rice crispy pops, mini king cakes (we had to bring Tiff’s cajun roots to the party), and even cookies and milk all made and prepared by Nicolette Salvaggio of Nicolette Allys Cakes & Catering. Once everyone had a bite to eat the dance party started thanks to the sounds of Moments in Time Disc Jokeys. There may or may not have been an impressive, long conga line that started and sustained for a good 10 minutes. Once the dancing stopped and the party came to an end, Tiffany and Andrew exited the CL Space through a sea of balloons and drove off into the future in a Mustang convertible Andrew was really pumped about. Loved being a part of this day and having the opportunity to preserve this sweet chapter in my friend’s lives. Here is a snapshot of the day!
