Seely Wedding

menu

Beautiful weather, family all around, a smores bar! What more could you need on your wedding day? The Seely Wedding was one of the most relaxed weddings I’ve ever photographed. It’s not every wedding that I actually haveĀ time to sit down for lunch and eat an entire Pub Sub! The fact of the matter is, The Allen Barn is a wonderful wedding venue. Everything is so close by on their campus and it makes covering everything a breeze! Not to mention Melissa had a rockin’ coordination team (I may be a little biased, given that the head of the “team” was my own Mom haha). Everything was perfect to Melissa’s vision from the mint accents to the baby’s breath. Also, if I can, I must talk about the weather. I think this was also the first wedding I shot that I didn’t break a single sweat. The weather could not have been any more perfect. Every bride should get married in March (I sure as heck did)!

Melissa and Jake’s wedding day started out with each of them getting ready with their best buds. All the girls looked so beautiful with their hair done by the talented Hilary Salma and make up expertly done by Olivia from Butterfly Make Up. Melissa wanted her bridesmaids to wear mint, and she helped them pick out different cuts perfect for each girl from David’s Bridal. Can we talk for a second about Melissa’s dress though? She looked amazing in it! The lace was perfect and the dress was totally “her.” (Especially when paired with her cowgirl boots, Melissa is definitely a country girl at heart!) As always, Heather Taylor of Taylormade Florals and Design did a fantastic job with the florals. Melissa’s bouquet was stunning and was so fun to photograph! The ceremony was super sweet and officiated by Melissa’s pastor from growing up, Rev. Tom Hicks. Once the ceremony was over guests enjoyed playing corn hole, sitting by the bonfire and even roasting smores as the sun set behind them. Everyone got to eat a BBQ dinner supplied by Jimbo’s BBQ! And after dinner, guests sank their teeth into delicious cupcakes from Smallcakes and a cake from Publix! DJ Bill Hipp lead everyone into a dance party to follow. At the end of the night, Jake and Melissa exited through a tunnel of sparklers with the biggest full moon looming beautifully from above. It was truly the perfect end to the night!

Jake and Melissa, it was an honor to photograph your special day. Melissa I’m excited to officially be “family” now and look forward to the gatherings to come! I pray that your marriage is sweet and you guys continue to fall more in love with one another with each passing day! Now for a snapshot from the Seely Wedding!
