Towards the end of January my husband and I packed up the car for trip together for the first time in forever (thx COVID). However, this trip wasn’t technically a “get-away,” but rather a work trip. We were heading up to Alpharetta, GA so I could do Emily and Parker’s engagement photos! So Emily, let me just say thank you so much for providing a reason for my husband and I to finally load up the car and get out of town for a weekend.
Emily and Parker chose to do their engagement photos at their upcoming wedding venue: The Roswell Mill! The idea was since I’m not from the area, and likely wouldn’t be returning until September wedding we could do their engagement photos here so I could get a good idea of the “lay of the land” if you will. I fell in love with their venue and it was even more beautiful that I originally imagined. It’s good too because really The Roswell Mill is a giant public park, full of hiking trails. Since it’s probably unlikely that we’d be hiking during the wedding day (lol) we decided to hike for the engagement shoot! I make this sound like it was no sweat, but I was DEFINITELY sweating (hello, out of shape and from a place with no hills), but the real MVP was freaking Emily! My girl was hiking trails, traversing rocky river shores, and scrambling down rock walls all in THREE INCH HEELS. Like seriously, what a legend.
Emily and Parker are my kind of people. Laid-back and always up for a good time. I had so much fun chatting with them about their upcoming wedding plans, bachelor / bachelorette plans, and fun stories from Gasparilla weekends! It all made me so excited for their wedding this September. This will definitely be a wedding I can dance at
These are some of my favorite photos from my winter Roswell Mill engagement session with Emily and Parker!
