Hey remember these two? Yep I did their engagement photos way back last year in May at Hollis Gardens and their wedding venue: Haus 820! Over the past several months it’s been a joy keeping touch with Haley and talking about all the details for her day. If anyone deserves a medal for being simultaneously orderly and laid-back Haley would forsure take home the prize. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a bride who was so on top of everything (making my life a breeze lol) yet so relaxed about it all. I’d venture to say the Ross wedding may be one of the smoothest I’ve ever shot – even with the torrential downpour!
Also can I just talk about the fantastic team of vendors I got to work with for this wedding day? Every once in a while you get to work with all your favorite people and then make new “friendors” while you’re at it. For this wedding I got to work alongside many wonderful local vendors. Two in particular were Heather Taylor of Taylormade Florals and Events (if you haven’t noticed we get to work together A LOT!) and Chris Grainger from Graingertainment. Heather is always so sweet to make sure I’m drinking enough water and have everything I need – she has a heart of gold. And Chris – first off is a fantastic DJ, he makes any party fun – but also is so fun to cut up with during the slow moments of a reception. And for this wedding I got to make a new “friendor” with Tim and Jonathan from Storybook Weddings! Me and my second shooter Cole had a blast working alongside them all day. We bounced ideas off one another and simply enjoyed working the day with one another. It’s always nice making new friends within this industry – especially when we have such a great pool of wedding vendors right here in Lakeland. I thought it was really awesome that Haley used all Lakeland wedding vendors!
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention one last thing about this wedding weekend… Haley and Shane’s cat: Channing. I’ll admit it, I’m a little bit of a crazy cat lady. Cats are just so cute and I can’t help but gravitate towards them when I see one. Channing was one cool kitty and even let me take some photos of him. When Ryan and I return from Japan our plan is to get a cat and I hope the one we get is as great as Channing! Anyways, here are my favorites from this wonderful wedding day!
