Sara + Hunter Engaged

menu

Let be known if you want to go to Disney for a photoshoot, I’m armed with my annual pass and ready to go! (Unless it’s during the summer of course because… blackout dates). And if you don’t have a pass / it’s during my blackouts, but still would like somewhere at the “most magical place on earth” to be your backdrop, we can always go to a resort! Much like the parks, Disney’s resorts are also beautiful. The only one I’ve ever stayed at was the All Star Resort as a kid (and I loved it!) There are so many resorts on my bucket list that would make for a blissful getaway weekend, but for now I get my fill through super fun shoots like the one I had with Sara and Hunter.

Back in late March, in fact like 2 days before Ryan and I left for Japan, I made sure to find the time amidst the final planning and packing to do an engagement shoot with these two. Hunter and Sara are fellow Disney fans, but for this shoot we decided to skip the parks and use the beautiful Grand Floridian Resort as a backdrop. I’ve always admired this grand hotel from afar when taking the ferry across the lake to the Magic Kingdom. For this shoot I made sure to arrive 30 minutes early to explore spots and get a lay of the land. The Grand Floridian is as lovely up close and personal as it is beaming from across a lake. I’m a big fan of the simple Floridian architecture as well as all the white! I think what seals the deal for me though and makes someone feel like they’re truly on vacation is all the magnificent palm trees that stand tall next to this famous resort. I was already excited about shooting here, but after exploring I couldn’t wait to get started!

I met Sara back in 2017 when she was the maid of honor in her bestie Mary’s wedding. I have nothing but kind things to say about both Mary and Sara. They are both so sweet and nothing makes me happier than knowing even though its been over 2 years since Mary’s wedding Sara still thought to reach out to me for her wedding photography. Hunter is a great match for Sara too! I loved how relaxed they were around each other and there’s no denying how much he loves her! I enjoyed walking around the grounds of the Grand Floridian with these two getting to know them better. If I wasn’t already excited for their February wedding – after our shoot together I couldn’t wait for it to come! Sara + Hunter’s wedding will be at Up the Creek Farms this upcoming February. Let me just say ya girl already took a peek at the venue and it’s going to be amazing! I can’t wait to see all the details Sara has thought up for her and Hunter’s special day. It’s truly going to be a joy to photograph it all! For now, enjoy their engagement shoot that will give you all the Florida feelings!
